  • Why come to a driving school?
    • For professional instruction by experienced instructors, and to obtain (in most cases) a discount on your auto insurance. Discounts are offered for full-course students only.
  • Do we do permit testing?
    • NO, Permit testing in the state of Connecticut is ONLY done at your friendly, local convenient DMV.
  • Can you setup a license test at the school?
    • We can handle all arrangements for getting your license. You will use our vehicle for the test and you will test at either the East Haven or the Madison location. Tests are offered on a first come first serve basis for full course students only.
  • When do I take my Driver's License Test?
    • We will schedule you for the next available test date after you have held your permit for 4 months from the date of issue and after you have completed 30 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of "behind-the-wheel" training. Parent or guardian must also complete 12 hours of "behind-the-wheel" training with student.
  • Can I use my own car?
    • NO. The auto must be specially equipped for driver training as our vehicles are.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    • You must give us 24 hours notice or you will be charged a $50 no-show fee.
  • What are the age requirements?
    • You must have passed your 16th birthday to begin the course of driver training.
  • Do you offer gift certificates?
    • YES. You may purchase a gift certificate in any amount.
  • Do you teach standard shift?
    • NO.
  • Do you accept credit or debit cards?
    • The East Haven location is now accepting Mastercard and Visa. We accept cash or personal check at both the East Haven and North Haven locations..
  • Can I start or finish anytime?
    • YES. Classes continuously rotate. Students are given calendars for the next 2 months worth of class times.
